Power of attorney given by Mirza ‘Ali Muhammad Khan Matin al-Dawlah, son of the late Haji Mirza Shafi‘ Mustawfi, to Sayyid Ahmad in order to divorce his permanent wife, Khanum Rubab (daughter of the late Haji ‘Ali Akbar Bazzaz [draper]). On the margin, Mirza ‘Ali Muhammad Khan Matin al-Dawlah gives the power of attorney to Shaykh Ghulam Husayn in order to triple-divorce his wife.

Giving power of attorney for divorce, 1915
Mirza Muhammad Riza, son of the late Mirza Muhammad Husayn Khan, has stated his return to his wife, Salar Khanum, daughter of the late Haj Aqa Pust-furush [the fur seller] from Shiraz in the presence of Haji Mirza Muhammad Hasan al-Tabatabayi al-Najafi. He then gives power of attorney to Shaykh Haydar ‘Ali in order to triple-divorce Salar Khanum.

Power of attorney given by Mirza Muhammad Riza, son of Haji Mirza Muhammad Husayn Khan, to Shaykh Haydar‘ali in order to divorce him from his wife, Salar Khanum, daughter of the late Haji Aqa Buzurg Pust-furush [fur dealer] from Shiraz. On the margin, Mirza Muhammad Riza returns to Salar Khanum three days after their divorce, gives the power of attorney to divorce her again to Shaykh Haydar‘ali, and then gives the power of attorney to divorce him from Salar Khanum to Shaykh Haydar‘ali for a second time.

Divorce settlement, 1924
Ustad Dash Khayyat [the tailor], son of deceased Haj ʻAbbas Quli, claims that Taj Mah, daughter of Karbalayi Habib Allah, is his permanent wife but she denies it. Eventually, with some people’s mediation, he agrees to divorce her. Haj Shaykh ʻAbd al-Samad, the lawyer of Ustad Dash Khayyat, and Haj Sayyid ʻAli, the lawyer of Taj Mah, on behalf of their clients have settled the divorce agreement and half of Taj Mah’s mahr has been paid.

Marriage contract of Mihr Mah Khanum and Qahriman Mirza ʻAyn al-Saltanah, 1909
Marriage contract of Mihr Mah Khanum, daughter of Rahim Khan Muguyi, and Qahriman Mirza ʻAyn al-Saltanah, son of ʻIzz al-Dawlah. The Mahr includes 400 tumans and a Qurʼan. The last page of this document certifies the divorce of Mihr Mah Khanum and Qahriman Mirza ʻAyn al-Saltanah, and the payment of Mahr by Rafʻat al-Sultan on behalf of ʻAyn al-Saltanah in 4 September of 1912.
